There are five PgD programmes available at the first batch: Corporate Branding and Event Management, Fashion Marketing and Management, Luxury Services and Brand Management, International Live Entertainment and Event Management, and Teaching Chinese to Early Childhood Learners. During the ceremony, Professor William K.M. Lee, Director of HKU SPACE, welcomed the students to the School, “The region is positioned for remarkable development, and in line with the School’s vision of lifelong learning, we are dedicated to ensuring that you are thoroughly prepared to adapt and excel in the evolving market.” Following the Opening Ceremony, Dr Catherine Ng, the President and Chief Tutor of Enrichment Consulting and Coaching Institute, delivered a keynote speech on “Cross-cultural Communication: Embracing Differences, Shaping the Future”, unveiling the secrets of communication that bridge cultural divides and transform differences into strengths in the era of globalisation. 03 講座與討論 擴闊思維視野 午膳後，由金融商業學院總監及內地事務處總監 林崑博士主講「回顧百年港大歷史及HKU SPACE發 展」，讓同學初步了解香港大學及學院的背景。沃德 國際資產管理顧問公司董事局主席盧麒元先生主講 的「向心坍縮與電幣復合」，為大家講解了全球貨幣 如何在新時代「坍縮」重組，以及探究中美貨幣競爭 形勢和數位金融融合的未來藍圖。 最後的圓桌會議環節由學院高級課程主任及首席講 師駱松森博士主持，以「國際視野與香港未來」為題， 邀得盧麒元先生、立法會議員鄧飛先生、香港大學 社會科學學院王衛東教授及中電中國人力資源總監 藍清女士擔任嘉賓，一起探討了全球力量如何重塑 未來，以及香港於大灣區及世界舞台的定位和未來 角色等。 典禮結束後，出席同學紛紛表示活動十分成功。 他們很高興能認識學院與香港大學的歷史及校園環 境，講座和圓桌會議的內容令他們獲益良多，尤其 盧麒元先生的觀點與見解極具啟發性。他們期待在 未來能參與更多同類型的活動。 Talks and discussions: broadening perspectives and vision In the afternoon, Dr Joey Lam, Head of College of Business and Finance and Mainland Affairs Office, gave a talk on “The Centenary History of the University of Hong Kong and the Development of HKU SPACE”, providing students with an introductory overview of HKU and the School. Mr Lu Qiyuan, Chairman of the Board of World International Consulting Limited, then delivered a presentation titled “Centripetal Convergence and Digital Currency Integration”, explaining how global currencies would undergo a “collapsing and restructuring” in the new era while exploring the future blueprint for Sino-US monetary competition and digital financial convergence. The final session was a roundtable discussion facilitated by Dr Andy Lock, Senior Programme Director and College Principal Lecturer of HKU SPACE. It was themed “International Perspectives and the Future of Hong Kong”, featuring a distinguished panel of guests including Mr Lu Qiyuan, Legislative Council Member Mr Tang Fei, MH, Professor Wang Weidong from the Faculty of Social Sciences, HKU, and Ms Cynthia Lam, Human Resources Director of CLP China. Together, they explored how global forces were reshaping the future, as well as Hong Kong’s positioning and future role within the GBA and on the world stage. At the end of the Ceremony, the students expressed that the event was a great success. They were delighted to understand more about HKU SPACE and the history of HKU and the campus environment and expressed that the seminars and roundtable discussion were immensely valuable. Many of them found that Mr Lu Qiyuan's perspectives were particularly insightful. They look forward to participating in more events of a similar nature in the future.

He expressed, “The content of the ‘Teaching Chinese to Early Childhood Learners’ course is highly engaging, with the teachers delivering vivid and clear explanations that have been greatly beneficial to me.” The School currently offers 19 PgD programmes spanning five major fields: Business and Management, Culture and Arts, Education, Finance and Law, as well as Healthcare and Rehabilitation. These one-year programmes cater to individuals seeking to enhance their professional knowledge in a short period. To this end, the School is actively expanding its outreach efforts in the GBA to enhance visibility and influence. An important breakthrough involves the establishment of official accounts on the popular Chinese Mainland social media platforms Xiaohongshu (XHS) and WeChat by the end of 2025, creating direct interactive platforms for the School with potential students in the GBA XHS is currently one of the most popular and rapidly growing social platforms in the Chinese Mainland. The School can leverage local, lifestyle-focused content and short reels to build brand reputation, effectively engaging target audiences. WeChat, with its user base numbering in the hundreds of millions, serves as the official channel for deepening brand narratives and disseminating course and event information to potential students. The content strategy encompasses three main themes: “Panorama” presenting the School’s history, international recognition, and academic strengths; “Forward-Looking Programmes” highlighting course features and learning outcomes; and “Profiles” showcasing real and vibrant learning stories through student testimonials and teacher insights. 學院學生勇奪倫大一級榮譽學銜及全球個別科目狀元 HKU SPACE Students Achieve First-Class Honours and are Awarded Top Scorer by the University of London 06 HKU SPACE Students Achieve First-Class Honours and are Awarded Top Scorer by the University of London 學院學生勇奪 倫大一級榮譽學銜及 全球個別科目狀元 The Pro Vice-Chancellor Emerita, Professor Mary Stiasny, OBE, officiated at the University of London Presentation Ceremony held on Sunday, 25 January 2026, at the HKU Rayson Huang Theatre. This year, more than 50 students completed University of London (UoL) programmes through HKU SPACE. Graduates achieved remarkable results: for example, one Accounting and Finance graduate earned First-Class Honours, while six business students received commendations, including one who attained the highest global score in “Organisation Theory: An Interdisciplinary Approach”. Law students also excelled. In 2023 and 2024, graduates achieved top-three global rankings in seven subjects. This year, two students placed within the global top ten in “Commercial Law”, “Equity and Trusts”, and “Evidence”, earning Certificates of Excellence. These results reflect HKU SPACE students’ high academic calibre. LSE leads the business programmes and has been ranked first in “The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide” for two consecutive years. These business programmes are also locally accredited by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ), thus offering both international and local recognition. This enables students to earn globally recognised qualifications in Hong Kong, perfectly integrating quality international education with local recognition. Professor Stiasny warmly reflected on the longstanding and enduring partnership with HKU SPACE, emphasising its foundation in shared vision and strong friendship for over 60 years. 07 畢業生分享 Graduate Sharing 黃凱琳同學 Ms Sara Wong 會計及金融學理學士 | 一級榮譽畢業 BSc Accounting and Finance | First-class honours graduate 黃凱琳同學因 DSE 成績未能完全展現她的實力，轉而報讀了倫大的會計及金融學理學士課 程。令她欣喜的是，她能夠以合乎預算的學費修讀由著名學府LSE提供學術主導的優質課 程。憑藉其勤奮努力，她獲得獎學金遠赴倫敦LSE體驗暑期課程，並在當地完成了最後一 年學業。最終黃凱琳同學以一級榮譽畢業，並獲世界知名的會計師事務所聘用。 Despite her DSE outcome not reflecting Sara’s true potential, she chose to enrol in the University of London BSc Accounting and Finance programme. At the event, our distinguished alumna, Dr Bethany Chan, delivered a talk on AI and Law. A property transaction dispute prompted Dr Chan to pursue the UoL LLB at HKU SPACE. Remarkably, while still a student, she represented herself in court, won her case at the Court of Final Appeal, and established a property law precedent that is now cited in Hong Kong textbooks. At the alumni reunion, it was announced that the “Professor Enoch Young Scholarship and Prizes” are designed for outstanding HKU SPACE students on the UoL LLB programme. Professor William K.M. Lee, Director of HKU SPACE, congratulated the recipients on their dedication and achievements, encouraging them to pursue excellence and contribute to society. He also expressed gratitude to the generous donors, including Professor William Leung, Chairman of the HKU SPACE Foundation Committee, and Mr Stephen Ngan from the HKU SPACE Art Collecting Alumni Association, before presenting the scholarships and bursaries to the students. Of special note, Ms Catharine Lam, a 2022 graduate of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Food and Nutrition programme, generously donated her graduation scholarship to establish the “Catharine Lam Graduation Scholarship” this year. She is the first graduate since the establishment of Graduation Scholarship in 2021 to return her scholarship, exemplifying the spirit of passing on the torch. Catharine shared that the scholarship she received three years ago was beneficial. 香港大學附屬學院 第24屆畢業典禮圓滿舉行 HKU SPACE Community College The 24th Graduation Ceremony 10 期許與祝福 畢業典禮由主禮嘉賓方偉晶教授首先致辭，他讚揚 畢業同學以努力和決心克服了挑戰與障礙，得以來 到人生中的重要時刻；他寄語同學，不管日後選擇 升學或工作，「都要善用在附屬學院所學到的種種才 能，為實現理想而奮進；並將未來每一項挑戰，化 為讓自己茁壯成長的契機。」 何立仁教授對於能見證畢業生的成就深感欣喜。他 說：「在附屬學院，你們明白了終身學習的重要，掌 握了人際連結的技巧。這些將成為你另一段旅程的 開端，讓你在未來成就自我人生的同時，也能影響 他人，創造出不斷擴大、正向改變的漣漪。」 HKU SPACE Community College The 24th Graduation Ceremony 香港大學附屬學院 第24屆畢業典禮 圓滿舉行 2026年1月26日，香港大學附屬學院（附屬學院）假伊利沙伯體育館舉行了第24屆畢業典禮。 出席當天典禮的除了香港大學專業進修學院董事局主席何立仁教授、院長李經文教授，更邀得 香港大學社會學講座教授方偉晶教授擔任主禮嘉賓，與畢業同學、學生親友及其他來賓一同分 享喜悅與感動的時刻。此屆附屬學院畢業人數逾3,500名。 The 24th Graduation Ceremony of the HKU SPACE Community College (the College) took place on 26 January 2026 at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium. As well as Professor Ian Holliday, Chairman of the HKU SPACE Board of Directors, and Professor William K.M. Lee, Director of HKU SPACE, Professor Eric Fong, Chair Professor in Sociology at The University of Hong Kong graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. They shared joyous and heartfelt moments with the graduates, their families, friends and distinguished guests. Over 3,500 students graduated from the College in this cohort. Expectations and blessings The ceremony commenced with remarks from Professor Fong who lauded the graduates for their hard work and determination to achieve this important milestone. He extended his wishes to them, whether they continue study or work, urging them to "utilise all the qualities developed at the College and work towards the goals; and to turn every challenge into an opportunity for growth". Professor Holliday expressed his delight in witnessing the graduates’ accomplishments, stating, "You have laid the groundwork for lifelong learning and connection. Let this be the beginning of a journey that lifts your own lives while impacting countless others, creating an ever-widening circle of positive change."
11 李經文教授恭賀同學與附屬學院攜手走過非凡的求 學之路，憑着恆心和毅力取得了卓越成就，並勉勵 大家：「在這充滿變數的世界裏，前路或許崎嶇，這 將需要你們以創新的思維和開放的胸襟去應對種種 挑戰。我深信，你們在過去兩年所學的技能與知識， 將會助你達成目標，實現夢想。」 致辭完畢後，附屬學院先請方偉晶教授向七位講師頒 發傑出教師獎。隨後再由李經文教授向不同學部的副 學士及高級文憑畢業生頒授學銜，包括文學及人文學 部、經濟及商學學部、工程及科技學部、英文學部、 數學及科學學部和社會科學學部。附屬學院亦於典禮 上向畢業生頒發學術卓越獎、香港大學專業進修學院 基金獎學金及最佳服務獎，以表揚學生的卓越成就。 懷念與感恩 典禮的最後環節是畢業生代表鍾紀瑤同學致謝辭。 她回顧兩年的附屬學院生活，「導師為我們傾注無盡 心力，指引我們前行，讓我們在這裏感受到家的溫 暖。」她同時感謝父母和家人的支持和犧牲，讓她能 夠完成學習的夢想。最後，她與各畢業夥伴互勉： 「請相信自己，你比想像中更強大、更有能力。志存 高遠，當困境來臨時，切勿退縮逃避。請專注於彼 岸等待的成功，堅信自身的潛能。」 Remembrance and gratitude The ceremony ended with graduate representative Ms Chung Kei Yiu's speech reflecting on her two years at the College. She remarked, "My lecturers poured endless effort into teaching me and offering guidance. They make me feel truly at home." She expressed gratitude to her parents and family for their unwavering support and sacrifices, enabling her to pursue her dreams. Lastly, she shared words of encouragement with her fellow graduates: "Trust in yourself. You’re stronger and more capable than you realise. Aim high, dream big, and when challenges arise, don’t run from them. Focus on the success waiting on the other side and believe in your own potential." Professor Lee praised the students for their achievements and dedication at the College. He encouraged them, "In an increasingly uncertain world, the road ahead may be complex, and the conventional way of dealing with challenges will require innovation and an open mind. I am confident that the skills and knowledge you have learnt in the past two years will serve you well in achieving your goals and realising your dreams." Following the speeches, Professor Fong presented the Outstanding Teacher Awards to seven college lecturers. Professor Lee then conferred the awards upon associate degree and higher diploma graduates from the Divisions of Arts and Humanities, Economics and Business, Engineering and Technology, English, Mathematics and Science, and Social Sciences. The College also bestowed the Academic Excellence Awards, the HKU SPACE Foundation Scholarships, and the Outstanding Service Awards upon the graduates during the ceremony, recognising their exceptional achievements.
中醫藥學課程發展邁向專業新高度 Development of Chinese Medicine Programmes Reaches New Heights 12 中醫藥學課程發展邁向專業新高度 Development of Chinese Medicine Programmes Reaches New Heights Chinese medicine (CM) has long been central to the School’s curriculum, making history in Hong Kong’s higher education in the early 1990s. Its Bachelor of CM programme has nurtured countless talents for the field. Recently, the School has achieved two key milestones, reaffirming its leadership in CM education. In 2024/25, commissioned by the Government of the HK Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China's CM Development Fund and in line with the establishment of HK’s first CM hospital, the School launched a series of training programmes. These include a CM nursing course for registered nurses, as well "Healthcare Administration and Hospital Management in CM" and "Medico-legal Liability for Individuals and Institutions" for registered CM practitioners. In 2025/26, the School strengthened its partnership with Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (GUCM) through joint administrative collaboration for the "Master's and Doctoral Programmes (HK Class)" project, aiming to nurture more CM talents in the GBA. Besides, Dr Jenny Tung, Associate Head of the College of Life Sciences and Technology and Programme Director of CM, and Dr Cheung Kwan-sheung, Associate Professor of CM and Head of the Chinese Medicine Clinics and Pharmacy, were appointed as “Visiting Professor” and “Distinguished Professor” respectively at GUCM for a three-year term. In his opening speech, Professor William K.M. Lee, Director of HKU SPACE, highlighted the College's dedication "to offering a supportive platform where students can realise their academic aspirations and explore the opportunities that lie ahead in both their personal and professional journeys". Thanks to the generous support from various sectors, the College received donations totaling over HK$9.5 million, in recognition of students’ exceptional achievements in academic excellence, voluntary work, and personal growth. Furthermore, close to 570 students received the "Self-financing Post-secondary Scholarship" from the HKSAR Government, with a total value exceeding HK$10 million. HKU SPACE students achieved exceptional results in The 10th Huacan EDA Award, a prestigious national A+ design competition for young Chinese designers. In the Hong Kong regional phase, students won a total of 112 awards, including 12 first prizes, 37 second prizes, and 63 third prizes. Awardees came from the Higher Diploma in Visual Communication, BA (Hons) Graphic Design, and MA Design Management programmes. Creating a pain-free workplace On 4 December 2025, the Alumni hosted a talk on "Workplace Pain Management and Prevention", aiming to create a pain-free workplace environment for alumni. Registered physiotherapist Professor Ching Kwan Yin delved into the common causes and prevention strategies of office-related pain and demonstrated simple relief exercises. During the Q&A session, Professor Ching offered professional advice to alumni, providing them with valuable health insights. 打造無痛職場 校友會於2025年12月4日舉辦了「職場痛症管理與 預防」講座，為校友打造無痛職場。主講嘉賓註冊物 理治療師程鈞筵教授除了為大家深入剖析辦公室常 見痛症的成因、預防策略，同時示範簡單易做的紓緩 動作。在問答環節中，程教授逐一給予校友們專業建 議，為參與者送上健康錦囊。 Insights into smart logistics On 9 December 2025, the "Port Community System" (PCS) talk, sponsored by the Logistics and Supply Chain MultiTech R&D Centre (LSCM), featured Miss Amy Chan, JP (Deputy Secretary for Transport and Logistics of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region) and Dr Venus Lun (Special Project Director, LSCM). The discussion focused on the strategic significance and core functionalities of the PCS in the Hong Kong logistics industry. Legislative Councillor Hon Frankie Yick concluded the session, encouraging industry innovation in the logistics sector. 透視智慧物流 在2025年12月9日舉辦的「港口社區系統」（PCS） 講座由物流及供應鏈多元技術研發中心（LSCM）贊 助，邀得運輸及物流局副秘書長陳婉雯女士, JP及 LSCM特殊項目總監倫婉霞博士工程師，講解PCS 系統對香港物流業的戰略意義及核心功能。最後由立 法會議員易志明先生作總結，並鼓勵業界推動香港物 流業的創新發展。
15 Journey through ancient and modern cultures In the new year, on 29 January, the Alumni arranged a "Jao Tsung-I Academy Guided Tour". Led by Alumni Council member Mr Tim Lau and experienced docents. Alumni explored the Academy, a Grade III historic building complex, immersing in its century-old history and architectural revitalisation. The tour included visits to the Heritage Hall and Gallery, offering a cultural journey through the past and present. Navigating the future with wisdom The Year of the Horse, 2026 symbolises intense energy and dramatic change. To help alumni face challenges with composure, the Alumni invited experienced cultural practitioner Master Shum Yat-fei on 5 March to speak on "2026 Outlook". Master Shum ingeniously blended insights from I Ching, quantum entanglement concepts, and the wisdom of cats, elucidating how to adjust one's mindset amidst uncertainty to navigate the upcoming year with resilience and wisdom. Immersing in a contemporary art feast To give alumni a firsthand experience of the annual art extravaganza during Hong Kong Art Week, the Alumni organised an "Art Central 2026 Guided Tour" on 25 March. Led by professional docents, alumni had the opportunity to appreciate creative paintings and sculptures up close, exploring the concepts and stories behind each work, and leaving with a wealth of inspiration and a truly enriching visual experience. 穿梭古今文化之旅 踏入新一年，校友會於1月29日安排了「饒宗頤文化 館導賞團」，在校友會委員劉智仁先生及資深導賞員 的帶領下，校友一同走進這個獲評為三級歷史建築群 的文化地標，了解這個文化藝術空間的百年歷史，再 漫步於古色古香的紅磚建築之間，參觀了保育館、藝 術館等設施，展開了一場穿梭古今的文化之旅。 以智慧駕馭未來 2026丙午為赤馬年，為使校友能以從容心態迎接挑戰，校友會於3月5日邀請了資深傳媒及 文化工作者岑逸飛先生主講「2026前瞻」。岑先生巧妙地融合了《易經》哲理、量子糾纏概念及 「貓的智慧」，闡述在變動不居的時代中，如何調整心態，從多元角度思考，為校友安然度過未 來一年注入了智慧與信心。 沉浸當代藝術盛宴 為了讓校友親身感受香港藝術三月這個年度盛會，校 友會於3月25日舉辦了「Art Central 2026導賞團」。 在專業導賞員的介紹下，校友們細心欣賞充滿創意的 畫作及雕塑，了解其背後的創作概念和故事，激發起 無限的靈感與想像，享受了一場視覺與心靈的盛宴。
16 Learn more about the School 了解學院更多 敬悼何超蕸女士 In Memory of Ms Maisy Ho In Memory of Ms Maisy Ho In Memory of Professor Wong Tak Ming 敬悼何超蕸女士 敬悼黃德明教授 The School was saddened to learn of the passing away of Ms Maisy Ho. She was a strong supporter of the School and of education generally. As well as her busy and distinguished business career she also found time to support institutions such as HKU, CUHK, and the APA. She also participated in charitable bodies such as the Tung Wah Group. HKU SPACE was pleased to award her a Honorary Fellowship in 2023 and the Maisy Ho Centre for Teaching and Learning was named in her honour following her significant and generous endowment to support the mission of the new centre in 2019. She will be sadly missed. The School was sad to learn of the passing of Professor Wong Tak Ming, College Principal Emeritus, on 22 February 2026 at the age of 84. Professor Wong was a distinguished Professor of Physiology at the University of Hong Kong and, following his retirement, joined the HKU SPACE in 2008 as Head of the College of Life Science and Technology. He was then appointed as the second Principal of the Community College from 2011 to 2014 where he led with distinction until his second retirement. The School is deeply grateful for Professor Wong's leadership and contribution.
