DIRECTOR’S REVIEW OF THE YEAR院長回顧 The College reacted swiftly to the successive waves of COVD19 during 2021-22, moving the majority of its courses online while minimising any disruption to students. Apart from specialist courses such as Chinese painting that can only be delivered in person, blended learning—which combines the best of both face-to-face and online teaching—has become the new normal and is embraced by the College in the delivery of a rapidly increasing number of programmes. The College also continued to support Hong Kong’s status as an international education hub with a series of new English and European language programmes, including Certificates in Business English Usage, Advanced Business English, Professional Communication (Financial Services), IELTS for Academic & Professional Purposes and Portuguese (Upper Intermediate)). Other notable new initiatives included a new pathway to the legal profession via an Advanced Diploma for Legal Executives (Graduate Level) and a Diploma programme in Communication Design and Practice to train newcomers to the profession, as well as many new short courses and Certificates for Module in interesting areas such as science communication, the ecosystem of art, art and well-being, and an insider’s guide to museums. College of Humanities and Law
