From AI revolution to the appreciation of Cantonese opera With the surge of Artificial Intelligence making waves globally in recent years, the first keynote talk was led by Dr Bruce Cheung, Head of College of Life Sciences and Technology, HKU SPACE, Dr Li Chan Wing, Hong Kong veteran media professional, and Professor Yiu Siu Ming, Director of the FinTech and Blockchain Laboratory and the Associate Director of the Center for Information Security . They explored the impact of "Artificial Intelligence in Daily Life: Understanding its Impact and Potential". In the midst of a global tariff dispute initiated by U.S. President Donald Trump, Mr Fred Wong, Founder and Chief Investment Officer of eFusion Capital Limited, dissected global investment strategies amidst fluctuating exchange rates in his talk on "Unlocking Investment Opportunities under the Trade War". Cantonese Opera, a blend of literature, drama, and aesthetics, boasts high artistic value. The charms of this intangible cultural heritage was spotlighted in a talk on "Exploring the Vocal, Tonal and Pedagogical Aspects of Cantonese Opera Singing", presented by Dr Yuen Siu Fai, BBS, BH, Professor in the Music Department of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Professor Chan Sau Yan, Vice President of the Hong Kong Cantonese Opera Scholars Association. Navigating success in branding The influence of the popular social media platform Xiaohongshu lies in its adeptness at steering consumer trends and generating buzz. "Three Must-Know Traffic Secrets of Xiaohongshu" unveiled the platform's potential, empowering brands to distinguish themselves in a competitive landscape. As Artificial Intelligence reaches remarkable levels of sophistication, "From Buttons to Brushstrokes: What Really Makes (or Breaks) an Illustrator" highlighted the impact and opportunities of AI drawing tools on the illustration sector. Embracing healthy living Looking to infuse tranquillity into your bustling routine? "A universe in a flower: An introduction to Ikebana" offered insights on healing the body and mind through floral art, delving into the meaning and philosophy of Ikebana. "From Fragrance to Serenity: Unlocking the Power of Tao of Incense in Modern Life" guided on integrating incense into daily practices to craft a serene ambiance that nurtures the mind, body, and soul. Health is invaluable. "Understanding the ‘Three Peace-of-Mind Documents’ and their Impact on the Elderly" elaborated on leveraging the three essential documents for planning ahead for later life. "New Acupuncture TechniquesCheek Acupuncture Therapy" shed light on acupoints, clinical applications, and specialised needling techniques to enhance patient care. "DSE Study Planning" is tailored for DSE graduates. "DISC and Lead: Transforming Personalities into Powerful Leadership" examined how different personalities influence leadership styles, while "A Multifaceted View of Advertising and Public Relations" explored advertising and digital PR topics, aiding students in identifying strengths and weaknesses to adapt to the ever-changing era of technology.
