It is anticipated that 2025/26 will see major decisions on the way forward in relation to the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance, Cap 320, which will have signi icant repercussions for the School. The School will present its analysis and recommendations on the ways forward under the new legislative framework to the Board and the University during 2025/26. The current Joint Venture with Po Leung Kuk will certainly also feature given the partnership renewal until 2055. The seven strategic directions outlined in the Strategic Plan 20252030 will come into play, particularly in relation to supporting and empowering collaborating institutions. Engagement with the Chinese Mainland is also expected to increase, particularly if sub- degree provision from Hong Kong is recognised by the Ministry of Education. This will spur potential collaboration along the lines of the Northwestern Polytechnical University project and with an emphasis on engagement in the Greater Bay Area. Meanwhile the rapid development of AI technology will continue to in luence both the curriculum in relation to teaching as well as the organisation in terms of workplace eªiciency. The School’s motto of “Lifelong Learning for a Better Future” will continue to resonate in all that we do to serve the community better.
