In 2024/25, the College of Life Sciences and Technology (CLST) continued to demonstrate a strong commitment to maintain quality education, innovation, and arti icial intelligence development despite the challenges such as emigration trends, severe market competition and economic uncertainties. Flagship and through-train programmes remain vital to the inancial stability of the College. CLST continues to reinforce its academic reputation by aligning its programmes with global trends in carbon neutrality, ESG, AI, sport science, and wellness for ageing populations. Through partnership with local and international organisations, CLST supports career development and practicum training and expands its offerings to meet evolving market demands, particularly within the GBA. In 2025/26, the Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Injury and Rehabilitation will launch as a full-time programme for the GBA market. Two further programmes in Chinese Medicine will expand to full-time in the region. These strategic developments aim to enhance competitiveness and address evolving societal and learning needs. Commissioned courses play a signi icant role in supporting the College’s inancial health. In 2024/25, these courses contributed 16% to the College’s total income based on the Spring Forecast 2024/25. The College remains committed to supporting the ongoing training needs of various organisations. 面對移民趨勢、市場競爭激烈及經濟不確定性 等挑戰，生命科學及科技學院在2024/25年度 繼續展現堅定承諾，致力維持優質教育、創新 發展及擁抱人工智能科技。 旗艦課程與「直通車」課程是學院財務穩定的關 鍵支柱。本年度，學院將課程與碳中和、環境、 社會與管治、人工智能、運動科學及高齡族群 健康等全球關注議題接軌，藉以鞏固學術地位 和聲譽。我們透過與本地及國際組織合作開辦 的課程，協助學員職涯發展和實務培訓，以及 提供更多新課程，以滿足新興市場的需求，尤 指大灣區。在2025/26學年，學院將推出專為 大灣區市場開發的全日制「運動創傷及康復深造 文憑」；兩個兼讀制中醫藥課程亦將擴展為全日 制，以符合大灣區學員需要。這些策略發展旨 在提升學院競爭力，以及回應不斷變化的社會 與學習需求。 委聘課程也是學院保持財務健康的重要部分。 根據2024/25年春季的財務預測，這些課程佔 了學院全年總收入的16%。學院承諾將繼續支 持不同組織的培訓需求。 The College of Life Sciences and Technology 欰ㄐ猰㷸⿻猰䪮㷸ꤎ Community engagement remained at the heart of our core purpose, with over 130 commissioned courses developed for public and private organisations in 202425. One highlight was the College’s comprehensive 1,512-hour training programme for Social Workers in Community Mental Health Services commissioned by the Social Welfare Department. This initiative equipped social workers with enhanced skills for early identi ication and intervention in mental health cases. CHL continued its commitment to diverse communities through courses for non-Chinese speaking students and their parents, Applied Learning courses, and expanded language o erings including new Finnish and Arabic courses. Our dedication to contemporary issues was evident in the launch of ESG-focused programmes, including the Certi icate for Module (ESG Strategies for Arts and Cultural Enterprise) and Certi icate for Module (Environmental Studies). The College’s community outreach efforts culminated in two highly successful CHL Open Days o ered on 31 August 2024 and 18 January 2025, featuring 60 informative talks that attracted more than 1,500 inperson attendees. Operationally, we embraced hybrid working models while increasing AI integration to enhance productivity and service delivery. Looking towards the future, CHL is positioned to capitalise on emerging opportunities. The College plans to expand programme development for GBA learners, extending our educational impact throughout the region. The College will also explore opportunities to develop TNE programmes with reputable overseas universities that will provide local students with access to globally recognised quali ications.
