The 202425 academic year marked another chapter of achievement for the College of Humanities and Law (CHL), characterised by substantial expansion and exploration in our educational portfolio. CHL successfully developed over 180 diverse learning opportunities spanning Bachelor's degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, Certi icates, short courses, workshops, and seminars. These offerings covered a comprehensive range of subjects including legal studies, cultural arts, languages, education, psychology, counselling, housing and built environment, AI and many more, effectively bridging personal enrichment with professional advancement. Strategic growth initiatives de ined our year, particularly a focused expansion into the Greater Bay Area (GBA). Aligning with the Government of the HKSAR’s active promotion of education integration within the GBA and to address local community needs, CHL has explored and developed postgraduate programmes in emerging areas, such as Teaching Chinese to Early Childhood Learners. We have also introduced full-time options for speci ic existing programmes. The College’s initial offering of workshops and online courses for Mainland learners represents just the beginning of our cross-boundary educational commitment. Responding to evolving societal needs, we introduced specialised programmes in Life and Death Education, addressing the growing importance of end-of-life understanding among Hong Kong’s aging population. CHL’s commitment to cultural preservation is manifested through the development of the Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching Cantonese Operatic Singing and related short courses, supporting this UNESCO-recognised intangible cultural heritage. 人文及法律學院在2024/25學年再創佳績，教 育項目顯著增加，類型多元化。學院成功開發 了超過180個不同學習項目，包括：學士學位、 深造文憑、證書及短期課程、工作坊及研討會， 涵蓋法律、文化藝術、語言、教育、心理學、 輔導、房屋及建造環境、人工智能等多個領域， 有效地將個人進修與專業發展連結起來。 策略性增長是學院本年度的重點發展方向，尤 其着重在大灣區拓展院務。為配合香港特區政 府積極推動大灣區教育融合，以及回應本地社 區需求，學院已針對新興領域開發多個研究生 課程，例如「幼兒中文教學」。我們亦將特定的 現有兼讀制課程增設全日制選項，供學員靈活 選擇。目前學院為內地學員開設的工作坊及線 上課程，僅是我們對提供跨境教育承諾的開端。 因應社會不斷變化的學習需求，我們推出了專 門的生死教育課程，以回應香港人口老化趨勢 下，臨終關懷認知日益重要的社會現況。文化 保護至關重要，為此，學院開設了「粵曲演唱 教學深造文憑」及相關短期課程，以守護這項獲 聯合國教科文組織認可的非物質文化遺產。 The College of Humanities and Law ➃俒⿻岁䖒㷸ꤎ The College’s LEAD Academy has continued to grow in its provision of inbound seminars and commissioned training. For 2024/25, over 2,300 participants attended inbound seminars arranged by CBF. Aiming to become a prominent F&B Education Hub the College o ered, the Bordeaux Study Tour, the Brew Your Own Sake Tour and programmes on Italian Wine and Sake. The team also developed a number of patisserie related courses. The irst Lifestyle Festival College event was also successfully held in November 2024. 181 of CBF’s Certi icates for Modules have been included in the Microcredentials scheme re lecting our commitment to equipping students with skills for a sustainable future. Lunchtime live-stream talks on on-trend topics are arranged and are available on the College’s YouTube Channel. CBF has completed development of 4 full-time Postgraduate Diplomas to be offered in 2025/26. The College anticipates attracting new Hong Kongers and demand from the GBA, it aims to continue o ering more full-time postgraduate diploma programmes as there is growth potential.
