During the 2024/25 academic year, Alumni Affairs organised 15 events and activities, attracting over 2,000 alumni and accumulating more than 30,000 online participants for various talks and seminars. These events primarily emphasised personal development and career enhancement, featuring a diverse range of activities, including networking events, volunteer opportunities, guided tours, corporate visits, and the School Concert. On 10 April, 2025, the School Concert “The Joys of Spring” was held at the College Theatre in HKU SPACE Community College. The concert featured performances by teachers, students, and alumni, including piano, suona, tap dance, pop songs, hip hop dance, and guitar. Nearly 300 attendees expressed their appreciation for the event. We thank Mr William Au Weng Hei, SBS, JP, our event sponsor, and all patrons for their support, raising $181,000— up 6% from 2023. Proceeds will go to HKU SPACE bursaries for inancially disadvantaged full-time students. The Alumni Council is committed to guiding the development of the HKU SPACE ALUMNI, comprising 18 to 24 professionals and industry leaders. It oversees three sub-committees: the Alumni Activities Enhancement Committee, the Alumni Bene its Committee, and the Reconnect Lost Alumni Committee. These committees are dedicated to enhancing alumni engagement and strengthening connections between alumni and the School. As HKU SPACE offers over 1,000 courses and stands as the largest CEF continuing education institution in Hong Kong, our alumni represent a diverse array of interests and professions. To foster collaboration among graduates with similar backgrounds, we have actively promoted Subject Alumni Groups (SAGs). Currently, HKU SPACE has 20 SAGs, each dedicated to a speci ic ield of study. Alumni are encouraged to join or establish a Subject Alumni Group that aligns with their interests and professional aspirations. In the 2024/25 academic year, these SAGs organised 16 activities, including talks, wine tasting events, guided tours, networking dinners, and seminars. Our alumni community is known for its commitment to service, aligning with the HKU SPACE motto: “We Learn to Serve.” Approximately 1,700 alumni are currently involved in volunteer activities, supporting those in need within Hong Kong.
