On completion of the programme, students should be able to 1. in speaking, express opinions on abstract/cultural matters or offer advice with more supportive details. 2. in writing, write letters to express opinions and produce more detailed texts on a range of subjects. 3. in listening, recall and summarise the important details in instructions or public announcements. 4. in reading, identify the main ideas in articles concerned with contemporary problems and to analyse the attitudes or viewpoints of the writers.
