The LLB (Hons) is for students who have completed the Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law (Common Professional Examination) [http://hkuspace.hku.hk/prog/cpe] taught at HKU SPACE and jointly run with and awarded by Manchester Metropolitan University. Offered by Manchester Metropolitan University and jointly run with HKU SPACE, the LLM (Top-up) is a cost-effective degree programme with CPD point recognition. This LLM is offered to holders of the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL); those who have successfully completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) or Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC); or an equivalent professional legal qualification; or HKU SPACE Postgraduate Diploma in a law-related discipline awarded (subject to approval). It is a qualification in its own right and is suitable for students who are eligible for admission to the University of London LLB but do not wish to register for the full degree, or require a bridging qualification for entry into a postgraduate programme, or wish to enhance their existing qualifications. Preparation courses are offered to help candidates prepare for University of London Graduate Diploma in Commercial Law examinations. The preparation courses cover all compulsory and some optional modules.
