According to data from Morningstar, US research firm in financial services, assets in sustainable funds grew 53 per cent year-on-year to US$2.74 in 2021. The momentum is taking place in Asia because of regulatory requirements and increasing client demand. According to 2021 research paper of “Careers of Tomorrow: Financial Talents in the Digital, Sustainable Economy in Hong Kong” by Hong Kong Financial Services Development Council, there is a strong demand of ESG skills in areas of ESG frameworks and regulations, design of ESG investment products and data science applications to ESG investing, reporting and disclosure. Applicants shall hold an Advanced Diploma, a Higher Diploma or an Associate Degree awarded by a recognised institution. Those with other qualifications will be considered on individual merit.
