The language of instruction will be French with some English where appropriate for explanation. - Applicants should have completed Beginners French OR French for Travel at HKU SPACE OR studied around 30 hours of French in any institution and provide a certificate/ Statement of Attendance to demonstrate this. - In the absence of such evidence, external applicants should contact us for further information. On the one hand, students will be more familiar with the format of the assessments which cover three compulsory sections, including: - listening comprehension (Compréhension orale); - mastery of language structure (Maîtrise des structures de la langue) and; - reading comprehension (Compréhension écrite). On the other hand, students can strengthen their confidence by attempting some sample questions which are carefully selected for the target level. Although speaking is not tested in the compulsory sections, interactive activities which involve speaking will be included in the training to help consolidate students’ learning.
