Thus far the year had seen some exciting developments that affect our long term planning. The first is that HKU SPACE and Po Leung Kuk have recently signed a second joint venture agreement for the development of the HKU SPACE Po Leung Kuk Stanley Ho College (HPSHC) over the next 30 years. This renewal of our joint venture represents a significant milestone in our partnership, which began in 2006, as we work together to elevate HPSHCC to new heights. In fact in terms of full-time enrollment, HKU SPACE has set a new record for the number of applicants. We now have 11,000 students in our Community College and 3,000 in HPSHCC, bringing our total to 14,000. This makes us the largest sub-degree provider. Moreover, the Government gazetted the amendment proposals to the Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance (Cap 320) on 7 March 2025. The University has plans to establish HKU Centennial College (HKUCC) to merge the operation of the HKU SPACE Community College with Centennial College to provide an effective response to the requirements of the amended legislation. We are well-prepared to proceed with the launch of HKUCC programmes in 2027/28 should this be a necessary outcome of the amended Cap 320. Additionally, HPSHCC will transition from Cap 279 to Cap 320 when the legislation comes into effect. We were pleased to organise the Third International Conference on Quality in Self-financed Higher Education ‘Connecting Local and Global’ held on 22 February 2025. This brought together leaders from overseas and local education circles as guest speakers to share their experience and views on transnational education. Also, in line with our efforts to enhance the student experience, the School launched our new HKU SPACE mobile app last December. Students can enjoy a more streamlined experience and easy access to our information — all at your fingertips. HKU SPACE is also expanding our learning centre facilities to cope with student number growth. We have two additional centres in the Kowloon Bay area and we are excited to announce the opening of a new learning centre in Sheung Shui in May, which provides educational opportunities for participants and visitors from the Mainland. We also offer a variety of programmes, workshops and seminars to advance their career or enrich their life. Moreover, we are exploring opportunities to serve the needs of learners in China, particularly the Greater Bay Area. Our recent visits to the GBA further emphasise our dedication to growth and collaboration. We are also proud to establish strategic partnerships with prestigious overseas institutions such as King’s College London and the University of Bath. We have a total of 3,200 full-time and part-time students studying in transnational education programmes in Hong Kong. In addition to these remarkable developments, HKU SPACE is also making significant strides in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). We are actively incorporating AI-driven technologies into our curricula and operations. We aim to enhance the learning experience, streamline administrative processes, and develop innovative programmes that equip our students with critical skills for the future job market. I am pleased to announce that our YouTube channel has surpassed 100,000 subscribers, making it the first higher education institution in Hong Kong to receive YouTube’s Silver Creator Award! Also, we have been awarded the “Sing Tao Service Award - Continuing Education” for the 18th consecutive year. This year, the school also received the newly established “Articulation Degree and Continuing Education Institution” award, marking the first time the school has received two major honors. Also, we are honoured for the 12nd consecutive year to receive the Platinum Award in the Continuing Education Category at the Reader's Digest Trusted Brand Awards. All in all, 2025 has proved to be a significant year of achievement and I hope that readers will find courses of interest in this 2025 Autumn Prospectus that will meet their professional and continuing education needs or their lifelong learning aspirations in the rest of the year and in 2026. 歡迎閱讀2025年秋季課程手冊。這一年我們取得令人振奮的發展，並影響 著我們的長遠規劃。 首先，學院與保良局最近簽署了第二份合作協議，在未來30年攜手為香港 大學專業進修學院保良局何鴻燊社區書院（HPSHCC）的發展作出貢獻。這 項協議標誌着雙方自2006年以來的合作關係踏入重要新里程，我們將努力 引領HPSHCC邁向另一高峰。事實上，在全日制收生方面，學院已創下了 報讀人數的新紀錄。目前，香港大學附屬學院及HPSHCC的在讀學生人數 分別為11,000及3,000，合計共14,000名學生，使我們成為了全港最大的 副學位提供者。 此外，政府修訂《專上學院條例》（第320章）的草案已於2025年3月7日刊 憲。香港大學計劃將香港大學附屬學院及明德學院合併成為香港大學明德 學院（HKUCC），以符合修訂後的法例要求。我們並已做好充分準備，被納 入第320章管轄範圍的HKUCC將在2027/28學年開始推出新課程。當法例 正式生效時，根據第279章註冊的HPSHCC亦將過渡至第320章。 我們很高興在2025年2月22日舉辦了第三屆國際性研討會International Conference on Quality and Self-financed Higher Education“Connecting Local and Global”， 匯聚海外及本地教育界具領導地位的嘉賓講者，分享他 們對跨國教育的經驗和觀點。 此外，為提升學生體驗，學院於去年12月推出全新的HKU SPACE流動應 用程式，讓學生享受更流暢的在線瀏覽體驗，輕鬆掌握學院資訊 —— 一切 觸手可及。 學院亦正擴展教學中心設施，以滿足日益增長的學生人數需求。我們在九 龍灣地區增設了兩個教學中心，並很高興地宣佈，新設於上水的教學中心 亦在五月開幕啟用，為來自內地的學生和旅客提供學習機會。我們將開辦 多樣化的課程、工作坊和研討會，協助他們推進事業發展及充實生活。此 外，我們正積極開拓機會，為中國內地，特別是大灣區的學習者提供服務。 學院近月舉辦的大灣區考察團進一步印證了我們致力與內地協同發展和合 作。 我們也很榮幸能與倫敦國王學院和巴斯大學等海外知名學府建立策略夥伴 關係。我們在港推出的跨國教育課程共有3,200名全日制和兼讀制學生。 除了這些重要發展外，學院在人工智能領域上也取得了顯著進步。我們積 極將人工智能驅動技術融入課程和營運之中，以達至提升學習體驗、簡化 行政流程，並開發創新課程，幫助學生掌握未來就業市場所需的關鍵技能。 我欣然宣佈，學院的YouTube頻道訂閱人數已突破10萬，成為香港首間獲 授予YouTube白銀創作者獎的高等教育院校！我們亦連續第18年榮獲《星 島日報》頒發「星鑽服務品牌選舉 — 最佳持續進修教育學府」服務大獎；今 年並同時獲頒大會新增設的「銜接學位進修教育學院」獎項，是學院首度榮 膺兩大殊榮。此外，我們十分榮幸連續第12年獲得《讀者文摘》的「持續進 修機構類別信譽品牌白金獎」。 總括而言，2025年已是成績斐然的一年。我衷心希望讀者能在這本2025 年秋季課程手冊中找到感興趣和合適的課程，在今年餘下的月份和未來一 年，能滿足你在專業發展和進修深造的學習需要，以及實踐追求終身學習 的願望。
