The course will offer students a first taste of Swedish, focusing on oral communication, basic grammar and lexicon. The students will practise the language in an interactive class environment, whilst at the same time learning a little about the culture of Sweden and its habitants. The course is not exam-based. Why Swedish? - It’s a key to Scandinavian languages and Northern Europe - Sweden is a one of the top 10 happiest countries along with some other Northern European countries - Sweden is a mecca for interior design and fashion lovers - Strong prominence around the world with different famous brands in various fields such as furniture and clothing. HK$3,750 10 weeks Portuguese, suppl with minimal English Portuguese 葡萄牙語 Preparation for CIPLE A2 Programme Code: OEUR9046 S 2975 5681 jaime.tong@hkuspace.hku.hk The CIPLE A2 test is officiated by the CAPLE, an accredited Portuguese language association. CIPLE stands for “Certificado Inicial de Português Língua Estrangeira”, meaning Initial Certificate of Portuguese as a Foreign Language. This exam primarily assesses whether learners have reached the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and certifies a basic general ability to interact in a limited number of predictable everyday communication situations. This course includes all-round practices on the three components evaluated in the official exam: - Reading and Written Production and Interaction (Compreensão da Leitura e Produção e Interação Escritas) - Oral Comprehension (Compreensão do Oral) - Oral Production and Interaction (Produção e Interação Orais) - No specific entry requirement for this course.
