A broad range of knowledge such as airline and airport operations and management, aviation business development, aviation safety issues, and air traffic management are covered in the programme. Applicants should possess the following requirements: 1. (a) (i) have gained in the HKDSE Examination** Level 2 or above in five subjects including Chinese Language, English Language and Mathematics; AND (ii) have two years of work experience OR (b) (i) have gained three passes in HKCEE including Mathematics PLUS Level 2 or above in Chinese Language and English Language, OR five passes in the pre 2007 HKCEE (including Chinese Language, English Language* and Mathematics); AND (ii) have three years of relevant work experience OR (c) (i) have gained in the HKALE Grade E in one AL subject or two AS subjects; AND (ii) have one year of work experience AND 2. be aged 21 or above Applicants with other equivalent qualifications and relevant work experience will be considered on individual merit. * Grade C in the case of English Language (Syllabus A). ** Applicants are allowed to use not more than two Applied Learning (ApL) subjects in the application. No.: 22/000384/L6) Validity Period: 01 Jun 2022 - on-going ICAO Aviation English Language Proficiency Training Programme Code: AVIA9008 S 2975 5678 angel.cya.chow@hkuspace.hku.hk This course does not teach general English, but is designed for students who aim to pursue a career as a Commercial Pilot and pass the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) English Proficiency Test at Level 4. The course design, curriculum and mock test are based on the requirements set out in the “Manual on the Implementation of ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements - 2nd addition 2010 doc 9835”. HK$11,000 per programme 54 hours Certificate for Module (Flight Simulation Training: Single Engine Fixed Wing Aircraft) Programme Code: IT090A 3762 0051 d.chau@hkuspace.hku.hk The programme will enhance students’ knowledge and skills of flight control through participation in flight simulation practice. It is designed for those who have acquired the basic Private Pilot Licence (PPL) theory knowledge and would like to prepare themselves for the real flying training at the initial stage up to the First Solo level. Applicants shall: - have completed the Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) theory module of the Certificate in Australian Private Pilot Licence Training Programme (Cert PPL) at HKU SPACE; OR - i) hold a Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) from any country or equivalent; and ii) have gained: - Level 2 or above in English Language in the HKDSE Examination; or equivalent; OR - Level 2 or above in English Language in the HKCEE in or after 2007; OR - Grade E in English Language (Syllabus B) or Grade C in English Language (Syllabus A) in the HKCEE before 2007. No.: 22/000036/L3) Validity Period: 01 Feb 2022 - on-going Certificate for Module (Helicopter Flying Fundamentals) Programme Code: IT091A 3762 0051 d.chau@hkuspace.hku.hk The programme will equip students with a comprehensive understanding of helicopter flying during the initial stage of flight training. Students will acquire knowledge of instrument systems, flight theory, meteorology, and operational procedures. Applicants shall have gained: - Level 2 or above in English Language in the HKDSE Examination, or equivalent; OR - Level 2 or above in English Language in the HKCEE in or after 2007; OR - Grade E in English Language (Syllabus B) or Grade C in English Language (Syllabus A) in the HKCEE before 2007.
