Employees in the fields or organizations such as landscape architecture, surveying, property management, contractor works, government administrative departments and public organizations relating tree management and conservation would be directly benefited by taking this programme. This programme is on the recognized programme list of the Urban Forestry Support Fund – Study Sponsorship Scheme. Eligible students may receive tuition fee subsidy from the Scheme. Applicants shall: 1. i a) have gained in the DSE Examination Level 2 or above in 5 subjects, including Chinese Language and English Language; or b) have gained in the HKALE Grade E in one AL subject or two AS subjects; or c) have gained in the HKCEE Examination Grade E or above in 3 subjects PLUS Level 2 or Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language*; and ii have 2 years of work experience in the related field; OR 2. hold a bachelor’s degree in related field awarded by a recognized university or equivalent. Applicants who cannot satisfy the educational requirements specified above may be considered on individual merit provided that they have at least 5 years relevant work experience in the field. Individual applicants may be required to take an English written test and/ or attend an interview as appropriate. Exemption Policy 1. Applicants holding: a) a Statement of Attendance of Preparatory Course for Certified Arborist of the International Society of Arboriculture Examination and a pass in an entry test; or b) a Statement of Achievement of Preparatory Course for Certified Arborist of the International Society of Arboriculture Examination; or c) a qualification of Certified Arborist of the International Society of Arboriculture. will be exempted from taking module 1. 2. Each student may only apply for exemption for up to a maximum of TWO modules, except for Module 8 from which no exemption will be allowed.
