Applicants shall: I. i) a) hold a bachelor’s degree awarded by a recognized university; or b) hold a higher diploma awarded by a recognized institution with at least 2 years related work experience e.g. food and catering industry; or c) have gained in the HKCEE Grade E in 4 subjects (not including English Language) with at least 5 years work experience; or d) have gained in the HKDSE Examination level 2 in 4 subjects (not including English Language) with at least 4 years work experience; and ii) hold an Advanced Certificate in Nutrition awarded within the HKU system through HKU SPACE or equivalent; AND II. provide evidence of English proficiency, such as i) HKCEE Grade E or Level 2 in English Language (Syllabus B) ii) HKDSE Examination English Language at Level 2; AND III. i) have successfully completed the HKU SPACE Human Biology and Organic Chemistry I short course; or ii) have a pass in the HKCEE Chemistry and Biology; or iii) have gained in the HKDSE Examination at Level 2 in both Chemistry (or Level 3 in Combined Science (Chemistry)) and Biology (or Level 3 in Combined Science (Biology)) or equivalent. Advanced Certificate in Quality Control and Food Safety Management Programme Code: HS024A Application Code: 2260-HS024A The programme aims to provide students with the knowledge of food safety, food hygiene management as well as principles and regulations for quality assurance. This certificate has been recognised by Food and Environmental Hygiene Department as equivalent to Hygiene Managers training course. No.: 07/002027/4) Validity Period: 05 May 2008 - on-going Advanced Certificate in Food Service Management Programme Code: HS003A Application Code: 2235-HS003A The programme aims to provide students with the knowledge of the operation of the foodservice system and basic management skills. Students who successfully complete this certificate and Advanced Certificate in Quality Control and Food Safety Management will be awarded the HKU SPACE Advanced Diploma in Food Business Management.
